NH Catholic YOUTHFEST ’08
“HOPE”
Welcome to www.nhyouthfest.com! We have been working hard behind the scenes to bring you another exciting NH Catholic YOUTHFEST on Saturday, May 3, 2008 (05.03.08) from 10:00am to 8:00pm at the Sullivan Arena, Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH. This event is open to Jr. and Sr. High School students (grades 6 – 12) and the day is looking awesome!
Mission
This is the fifth year for NH Catholic YOUTHFEST. Our mission is to provide your parish youth the opportunity to more fully witness their faith in action by bringing to New Hampshire nationally known speakers, recording artist and musicians who will inspire students to live out their Catholic faith! Whether you have a group of two, twenty, or more, your youth will grow closer to each other and closer to Christ, through fun “whole audience” games, small group activities, and individual challenges.
Theme
Our theme this year is “HOPE” based upon Romans 8:24-25 “For in hope we were saved. Now hope that sees for itself is not hope. For who hopes for what one sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait with endurance.” This too is the central verse of Pope Benedict XVI, recent encyclical Spe Salvi. This theme also coincides with the theme of the Pope’s apostolic journey to the United States “Christ Our Hope” which will take place just a few weeks prior to NH Catholic YOUTHFEST.
New this year…
Lastly, we are excited to add an additional opportunity for you, your youth and your whole parish community. On Friday May 2nd, we are offering “LIFT: On The Road”, from 7:00pm-9:00pm at the Sullivan Arena, St. Anselm College, Manchester, NH. LIFT is a Catholic ministry that offers a monthly worship gathering in the metropolitan Boston area. LIFT: “On The Road” will offer a night with upbeat praise and worship music followed by an inspirational talk given by a dynamic speaker. The night culminates with a time of Eucharistic Adoration enhanced by more praise and worship music. This night is open to the public (all ages), and a free will offering will be taken.
